Oct. 27th, 2006 12:07 pmBeen a while since I last posted. The Mastery tests have just ended and I'm whiling my time doing any possible thing I missed when I didn't have freedom, one of which is devouring a KitKat.
I should write an article about what happened a while ago. Headlines: A first in the history of Manresa that the students warmed their asses for three solid hours while watching Highschool newbies humiliate themselves on stage. Seriously, do you really need to spend three precious hours on a simple launching? While I was covering the event, my scratch paper showered with "Year 1 interpretation of this and that song" and "Year 2 presentation about social responsibility". The presentations weren't even that good either. I bet the 'kids' are only doing that since their grades rely on it. And take this, does one have to portray a spoiled brat with their congressman father, the brats asking for material things, the father getting money from the poor, the children leaving their dad because of it, the children starving, their foster family arguing, the congressman asking a mayor buddy to go to the bar and finally, the mayor buddy refusing to the offer and using his funds to help the children? (Right...)
Anyway, aside from freshies wasting our time, let's head on to a new topic. After class, I and the 'gang' headed to Idge's house. Man, we had fun. We watched their PowerPoint interpretation of Yoru no Uta. Really a feat. After that, we could think of nothing else so we decided to *ahem* choreograph fight scenes. It's an Enca thing. If it's corny to you, we can't do anything about it. From crappy lines like "Tatalunin kita gamit ang payong ng katotohanan!" and "Masama bang maglakad sa kaharian ko? May mga paa naman ako...", we whiled the time while fencing each other in the garage. Then, Dominic had to leave. We were so exhausted that we stopped and watched Naruto (to the great opposition of Habagat). The episode was really great today. Go, Kabuto! After the Naruto wave hit us, we played Naruto Hero 3 on PS. And I never won... (Sorry, Nicky. You left too early so you couldn't play)
Well, today was quite fun, though I had some trouble contacting Dad to pick me up. It's days like these that give people a positive outlook in life. Little bits of heaven in this world of hell.
