afternoon treating
Oct. 31st, 2006 02:48 pm(In unison), "TRICK OR TREAT!!"
Ay, sorry, uubos na...
Bum... Darn, street children. Got everything..
Success Rate
That was 3/4 of the responses that we got a while ago when we went trick or treating. Actually, our whole yell was
Unfortunately, it didn't work well enough. Our adventure ended with seven or so houses that successfully fell for our cheer.
Booming Competitors
The streets of Ayala Alabang flocked with people-street children, resident's visitors and guess what? Street children. They were everywhere! And I thought the guard house would only let residents' visitors in. Really, if I knew that they would let any stranger enter the grounds, I wouldn't be fussing about asking Dad to drive us inside the village since we COULDN'T enter. Each successful house that gave us candy was bombarded by street witnesses.
Dun, oh. Binigyan sila. Tara!! A-holes.
Because of them, we had to rush our walking so that they wouldn't steal our prey. (Woooh..) Poor Rachel. She had blisters on her pinkies.
Of high heels
We had to pass this 'mini forest' inside the village for a shortcut. Upon realizing that Rach was wearng high-heeled shoes, we decided to apply what we learned in P.E. last year. Two-arm carry. Idge and Dom had to carry her until we got past the forest. I kept cheering them as I watched out for things that they should avoid stepping on.
Ayan, malapit na. Konti na lang.
Ayoko na. Bibitaw na ko.
Keep walking, you peasant!
Unfortunately, Dom was too much of a gay and almost let go so Idge had to lover's carry Rach all the way.
Manresan Alabangers
We stopped by three houses of Manresans during our little escapade. First off was Marvin's. Somehow, their powers couldn't handle the street children so they ran out. Darn them. We were trotting along Lubang when we trick or treated a house. Wala raw. And upon hearing this, we realized that we were talking to Sinay's dad. We rushed away. Last was this house where I said hi to the person at the gate who was giving away candies. Finally, our fifth house! T.O.L. asked me how I knew the person and I said that she was Andrea's mom.
As in Panganiban?
Hindi, Guinto.
(Gasps) Throw the candies! Burn them!
Battle of the heat
I don't know what entered my head when I decided to go as a snow princess this Halloween. Maybe since it was the only costume I had. Maybe because I don't want to dress in a fatigue. Whatever the reason was, I deeply regretted it when large amounts of warm fronts passed by. I was sweating like rain! Wearing my furry vest, bonnet and boots, I trotted along Millionaires Place as children looked at me in a weird manner. One of the foreigners even said
It's so chilly today, isn't it?
Yeah, in fact it's so cold, I'm sweating.
By the way, we made old school videos to kill time. Hope RJ gets the chance to upload it somehow. See EJ become a doll!!
