Dec. 17th, 2005 07:30 pmFinally, I have a tribute to my element. I'm the only one in the sang'gres who doesn't have one and now I've gained the time to make one. Credits go to Sr. Ian, Ms. Cantara and all the rest for this poem is inspired by my contempt for them (Don't ask why...), and also to hane shinohara's one-shot about Hazel Glosse's Butterfly. I found its sructure very helpful...
The Ember Dance
Dawn was over
The cold wind smacked on my face
With a goodbye
It bid its final bow
For now
It was the flames' turn to step on the stage
Open the curtains
Turn on the lights
Start the applause
For my dancer is now on center stage
Appearing with utmost silence, she stood on the platform
Silent
Gentle
Yet intoxicating
Her aura spread around the room
No one suspecting her gentleness
But as the music started, she galloped at once
Like a bat, she swooped down to destroy
with her grace, she swung her blade
And emblazed all that came against her
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Yes, my maiden.
Dance.
Show them yur skill
Your ability
Your power
Hold them in your caress and shock them with the devastation of your grace
Turn to your right. Your left. Swing your blade.
Make them witnesses of your skill
Your dance
Attack your aggressors
Avoi. Lunge forward. Stab!
Make them realize hw they have abused you and paid the price
Defend. Duck. Find your balance.
Swing
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Show no mercy to the weak
Burn their homes
Kill their children
Destroy their livelihood
Ensnare them with the power that you possess
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Make their eyes feast with agony on the glorious light you make
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Make them mourn for the loss of their home
Tap. Tap.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
And when your appetite for death has been filled, pause.
Breathe
Seize
Find your balance and face the rest
Stare at them and let your evil be carved upon their hearts
And then,
Bow
Take your blade
Step away
And leave the audience with nightmares of your power.
